Notes |
The Bergen Rucksack was obtained from the Boy Scout section of the Eatons or Simpson Sears catalogue as a requirement for attending the Canadian Jamboree in 1961. At that time, these two companies kept an inventory for mail order items that were designed for the Boy Scouts program. Everything of a personal nature that the Scouts needed for his time at the Canadian Jamboree was carried in this sack. Heavier items such as tents, shelters, gateway materials and kitchen pots and pans were carried as part of the group equipment in separate containers or bundles. |
